Frances Rekrut, PhD
As a licensed psychologist, experience has taught me that compassionate, thoughtful introspection through therapy can help individuals reflect, grow, and change. Using a warm and engaging approach, I work with clients to create a strong therapeutic connection and collaborate to create a treatment strategy that works for them. I specialize in working with clients with relationship issues, grief, anxiety and depression, OCD, and those making life transitions, including changes in roles or identity.
I think it’s important to tailor therapy to each person or couple’s individual needs, be that learning skills to enhance your ability to manage stress, anxiety, depression, or changes in your life; an exploration of how past relationships impact the present; or simply providing a safe, affirmative, and empathetic space to process and work through events that have occurred. I employ an integrative approach to treatment drawing on a variety of theories and models with a grounding in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
